Soča Valley Bike Tours

Biking routes of varying levels of difficulty lead through the most beautiful corners in the Julian Alps. Road cycling, mountain biking and cycling routes for families attract countless cyclists to the Soča valley every year.

Mountain biking and E-biking is an exciting, relaxing and healthy sport. But most of all is one of the most interesting ways to explore the Soča valley and its mountain background. We have a selection of different guided MTB and E-bike tours ready for you around Bovec and Trenta valley.

Numerous forest trails, roads and cart tracks offer mountain bikers unlimited possibilities, whilst less demanding bikers can take a ride on gentler valley roads and roads across certain plateaus.

Enjoy nature, views of the Julian Alps, stops along the Soča river and get to know the story of the valley.

Both MTB and E-bike guided tours last from 3 to 4 hours. We adjust the distance to you and your physical capabilities. We can bike from 20 up to 35 km with a normal MTB bike or from 35 up to 60km with an E-bike, depending on your preference. The guided tours are suitable for families, recreationists, smaller groups (max 6 people).

IMPORTANT: The tours are individually adapted in length and duration by the guide!

OUR MTB & E-BIKE GUIDED ROUTE

Our tour will start in the center of Bovec from the agency Outdoor Galaxy in the direction of Boka waterfall. Crossing the bridge Log Čezsoški over the Soca river, we will continue our journey on the left bank of the Soca river towards Trenta valley passing the village of Čezsoča and later on some of the hanging bridges where we will have a short stop. The well-maintained gravel road will lead us to the magical Lepena valley where we will be able to admire the gorge of Soča river and Šunik water gorge. We will round our biking adventure in the direction of Svinjak mountain by passing the village of Kal Koritnica and the river of Koritnica and later slowly ending our journey in the center of Bovec.

If you are gonna decide to take the E-bike guided tour we are usually adding on the tour the viewpoint of Javoršček, the local village road from Lepena to the village of Soča and at the end of the trip we cycle all the way to the valley of Bavšica.

Prices: from 50€ per person/2 participants; 35€ per person/4 participants; 30€ per person/6 participants (rental bike is not included!)

Rental bike price: 20€ per person for a day

E-BIKE GUIDED TOUR:

Prices: from 55€ per person/2 participants; 35€ per person/4 participants; 25€ per person/6 participants (rental bike is not included!)

Rental bike price: 45€ per person for a day

We had a fabulous e-bike tour with our guide Miha! He took great care of us and personalized our experience perfectly! He is very knowledgeable, helpful, caring and delightful to spend time with! Great guide who kindly arranged all of our activities at Soca Valley….. kids loved it and we had the best time. Miha is a great guy who accommodated all our needs and he personally took us on a great bicycle tour with pit stops to refresh in the river which we thoroughly enjoyed!!Definitely recommend Discover Soca Tours if you are at Soca Valley, on our last night he turned up to join us for a drink at our hotel and handed us a little gift, a lovely gesture on his behalf .Thanks Miha !! We did the Soca valley day tour from Goriška brda and we enjoyed the tour very much. Seen a lot of the Julian Alps, the fortress of Kluze, Soca river with the big gorge and beautiful waterfalls of Virje and Boka. If you are in the region I recommend the day tour to Soca valley a lot!

My girlfriend and I took a guided tour of the Julian Alps, we were in Bled, but they came to pick us up and we did this beautiful tour. We saw amazing waterfalls, large lakes, some incredible mountain scenery and finally the amazing Soca River with its gorge. This incredible nature is worth seeing.

The agency organised our outdoor vacation in Soça valley. They organised the transfer from Venice airport to Bovec and back. We also went on a rafting tour, did a biking tour around Soça valley and went ziplining. Perfect holidays and great organisation!

We visited the valley with the family and we took the guided tour of Bovec and Kobarid. We were amazed by the beautiful river Soca and all the waterfalls like Kozjak, Boka and Virje. You need to visit Soca valley when in Slovenia!

We could not have been happier with our tour with Mateja! We only had one day in the Soča valley and she planned a tour to make sure we saw as much as possible. We had lunch in a charming town, went to a natural wine shop, and had the most magical day exploring. Soča valley is absolutely amazing if you are an adrenaline frick. We used Hotel Boka as our base and Miha form the agency in the hotel arrange some of the activities for us. The highlight was for sure the canyon Fratarica. Don't miss it!
