The half-day E-bike tour in Kobarid – Soča Valley is suitable for everyone who likes less crowds in the summer months, green meadows and fresh air in the spring time and colors in autumn time. For those who like nature, gravel paths, some history and local gastronomy.
On this tour we will bike into the heart of the Breginjski kot – the most western part of Slovenia. Some biking will be on macadam, some on asphalt.
We rent bikes in Kobarid and from here we start biking in the direction of Podbela. We will stop at beautiful Napoleon’s bridge and take time to refresh in the alpine river Nadiža (great in warm summer months, for the bravest also spring or autumn). We will continue towards villages Logje and Breginj. Stop for refreshments or a local snack and get to know the history of this place. When we come back to Kobarid, we visit the Kozjak waterfall. We leave the bikes at Camp Lazar. From here it will be about a 20 minute walk to the waterfall. We also ride our bikes to the Italian Ossuary. Kobarid was marked by the World War 1. Finally, we stop at an exclusive wine shop for a glass of wine or a tasting of natural Slovenian wines. It’s a great experience.
The tour can be done in the morning or in the late afternoon in summer time.
