From Bled to the Soča Valley day trip is a great experience with amazing views of the Julian Alps and the emerald beauty Soča river.

You have two options. Departure (pick up) & arrival (drop off):

1. morning train from Bled – Most na Soči – evening train to Bled (one of the most interesting train rides in Slovenia, takes 1h for one way).
2. morning pick up in Bled – Soča valley – evening drop off in Bled

MORNING / EVENING TRAIN: We skip Kranjska Gora and Predil pass. But instead of these sightseeing we visit beautiful historical town of Kobarid, Kozjak waterfall and surroundings. This guided tour costs less money comparing to pick up / drop off in Bled.

PICK UP / DROP OFF IN BLED: The tour starts in the morning with a drive towards the alpine village of Kranjska Gora and artificial Jasna lake (possible stop for a coffee). Our next stop is Zelenci nature park – an emerald lake and a wide range of flora and fauna. If time permits we will also visit the Planica Nordic Center with its stunning ski jumps which are the scene of the World ski championship of the world’s best ski nordic jumpers. This is followed by a drive to Italy – Friuli Venezia Gilulia passing by Tarvisio, the alpine lake Predil and continuing over the Predil pass with views of the mighty Mangart mountain and the Loška rocky wall.

The descent into the Koritnica valley is panoramic. We will drive in the direction of the two alpine villages Strmec na Predelu and Log pod Mangartom until Kluže fortress where we make a stop for a visit to the tunnel from the WW1. The First World War definitely marked the area of the Soča Valley.

Passing the oudoor base of Bovec we countinue the road towords Kobarid to do a stop and admire the highest  waterfall in Slovenia – Boka and the Log Čezsoški bridge viewpoint. On the way back to Trenta Valley we will drive you on a local roads towards Čezsoča village with a panoramic 360 view of the Bovec valley and the mountains of  Western Julian Alps.

The most beautiful part of the day is still awaiting for us with a visit to the Trenta Valley and the Triglav National Park. First we are gonna do the 3 suspension bridges hike and after that we will also stop by the Great & small Soča gorge, Šunik waterfalls.

On this day trip to Soča Valley you will get to know part of the famous 25km long Soča trail and typical Trenta architecture. A day full of local stories and photo stops. This will be followed by lunch with local cuisine. We recommend typical slovenian soup called jota–yes, Slovenians like all kinds of soups, or maybe frika–cheese and potatoe omlette or homemade sweet dumplings. They are unique, filled with walnuts and raisins, topped with warm butter and cinnamon.

Return to Bled in the evening with memories and experiences of the beautiful Soča valley.
